I've noticed the different film forums on Hostboard, a few seem similar...about film or super8 filmmaking...I've posted on this particular forum the most, because I always get good answers from knowledgable friendly people. But is this forum supposed to only be about super 8 relating to digital? Just curious...i like this forum, i've seen some nastiness on some of the other forums, and sometimes people don't even get an answer...you guys have always been great. thanks, mike

This forum is primarily about Super-8 filmmaking. Ultra technical questions about other film formats would probably not show this forum off in it's best light as would super-8.

But it's always better to ask a question than not ask it. Even if the answer is a link to somewhere else, then others know where to look for that info.

Mikey B., I think you add a great dimension to this forum.

There's a saying "form follows function"...

I like to think this forum is a function follows format, forum.

Since the Super-8 format allows for such huge flexibility in the type of film shoots one may take on, I would love to see the Super-8 format "survive and thrive".

My philosophy may be different from other forums because I care about an inanimate object (Super-8) along with wanting to be a supporter of Super-8 filmmakers.

And of course, Super-8 is an excellent excuse for people to hang out together on a forum and talk.

    (um, most of the time)
